Georgian flashcards - example

Little change in notetaking

I always find writing in a book a kind of sacrilege. So I use to highlight things and do notes.

I will give margin notes a try. Incidentally this is one of the advices given in the book:
How to Read a Book (Charles van Doren - Touchstone Books).

Bullet journal

One of the hints given in the L2L course is to prepare for the next day...

I find this technique really useful and I am giving it a try.

How about understanding and knowing?

Understanding is not knowing
This is a blog inspired by Coursera`s Learning How to Learn: Powerful mental tools to help you master tough subjects by Dr. Terrence Sejnowski, Dr. Barbara Oakley - UC San Diego. Actually is assignment #2.

Personal Perspective
For several years I spent most of my learning effort trying to understand things. And understanding was enough for me to produce my illusions of competence. What is missing? Self tests, reviews including peer reviews and smart use of techniques.
The idea of this blog is to present useful text and hints of implementation, as well my results in endeavours like learning chess and Georgian Language.
As brain development is an important phase of learning, I will include a summary of the book "Brain Rules for Babies" from neuroscientist Dr. John Medina.
